Wedding Band is worn around the world by people of various nations and various religions. It is a token of love, respect and appreciation between two people and is worn on the ring finger of the left hand by Catholic Christians and by Jews, and on the right hand by the Orthodox.
Choosing of a ring takes much time and effort as it's a part of wedding planning. There is a special custom and an ancient history of wedding band ceremony traditions, yet they differ from one country to another. e.g. In the UK the best man is responsible for keeping wedding bands and he will give them to a marrying couple in the right moment so that each of them can put his or hers to the finger of the partner. Though it's quite possible that a boy, he may be a relative either of a bride or a groom, will bear wedding bands placed on a peculiar pillow and follow a marrying couple during a wedding procession.
Though some economical Europeans can wear an engagement ring as a wedding band. The status of the former therefore is changed after an engravement process and being placed on the other hand. But what if a wedding band is not the same as an engagement ring? Then they can be worn either on the same, sealing up the air and relationship of a betrothal, or on the different hands.
It's worth mentioning that before a narrow wedding band was worn mainly by women, though nowadays both the spouses can have them, yet men wear broad bands. They can be made by designers (the most famous are Christian Bauer, Martin Flyer and others) or be trendy.
Some people can think that a wedding ring is just a jewellery item, usually made of gold, platinum, titanium or a precious metal alloy, can be either plain or with stones, including diamonds, though it bears a social message in itself conveying that a person is married. Some people want to have some symbols on wedding bands, e. g. a Celtic knot, suggesting infinity. Wedding bands can also consist of three rings meaning faith, hope and love, and some can be puzzle rings, having a long history when a spouse can't be unfaithful to the partner without removing a wedding band.
